CHECKD

Analyze. Build. Share. Play.

CHECKD is a chess social platform built around a simple belief: chess analysis should not live in isolation. It should be shareable, understandable, social, and fun to revisit.

The product combines game analysis, AI coaching, social feed dynamics, repertoire building, async chat-based play, and puzzle competition in one ecosystem.

In Progress Chess AI Coach Social Platform

Project Summary

Existing chess platforms are strong at playing and practicing, but they do not fully capture the social, expressive, and identity-driven side of modern internet products.

CHECKD is designed as the chess platform that feels more like a living community: players post games to a feed, get instant AI coaching, build repertoires, challenge friends, and discover brilliant games from other players.

The Feed

The feed is the center of the product: a full-screen vertical stream of posted games, built with the familiarity of short-form social apps.

Full-screen Game Posts

Each post is an interactive board that can autoplay, pause, and scrub through moves.

Social Interactions

Like, comment, save, and share are native to every game post.

Stats Strip

Brilliants, great moves, best moves, inaccuracies, blunders, and accuracy scores make a game readable at a glance.

Playback Modes

Users can watch from move one, from the out-of-book point, or from the key moment that changed the game.

Game Analysis

Paste a Game Link

Users can paste a Chess.com or Lichess URL and pull the PGN into CHECKD automatically.

Stockfish Breakdown

Moves are evaluated and classified to show what was brilliant, strong, inaccurate, or costly.

Shareable Analysis

Once a game is analyzed, it can become a social post rather than a private report.

AI Coach

This is the headline feature. Instead of just showing engine marks, CHECKD turns analysis into plain-English coaching that players can actually learn from.

Explain the Mistakes

The AI coach translates engine output into understandable ideas, not just red marks and move suggestions.

Actionable Improvement

Users get a focused lesson on what to fix next instead of generic feedback.

Opening-specific Guidance

The summary can connect errors to opening plans, transitions, and recurring structural mistakes.

Follow-up Questions

Pro users can keep asking about the game to deepen understanding beyond the first summary.

Repertoire Builder

CHECKD treats opening preparation as something you can build, extend, publish, and follow socially.

Base Opening Library

A structured starter repertoire gives users a strong foundation from day one.

Extend Any Line

Users can add moves, create named variations, and fork other repertoires into their own study trees.

Private or Published

Lines can stay personal or become part of the wider community knowledge layer.

Opening Pages

Every opening can have stats, notable games, popular responses, and theory-tree previews.

Chess iMessage

CHECKD reimagines casual chess play inside chat threads, so games can unfold asynchronously alongside regular conversation.

Async Play

Two players can make moves inside chat without needing to be online at the same time.

Moves as Messages

The board lives inside the conversation, turning gameplay into part of the social thread.

Natural Share Loop

Finished chat games can flow straight into analysis and then into the feed.

Puzzle Battle

Challenge-based Puzzle Play

One player sends a puzzle pack and time limit, the other tries to beat the score.

Shared Puzzle Set

Both players receive the same problems so the contest stays fair.

Chat-native Competition

Puzzle battles live where the social relationship already exists: inside messaging.
